ATTENTION SUMMIT STUDENTS: A.B. Miller invites you to a Peace Slam event on Saturday, November 15th from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm. It is a day long conference dedicated to raise awareness of global and local problems. The conference includes workshops, performances, guest speakers, food and entertainment. if you are interested, stop by room G-202 for more information and pick up a registration form, the cost to attend is only $5!!
MARINE ECOLOGY CLUB: Are you interested in conserving the ocean, scuba diving, whale watching, and more? Then come to the Marine Ecology Club meeting both lunches on Wednesday, November 19th. 1st lunch – room D-105, 2nd lunch – room D-201.
PLAN TEST: On December 10th, Summit High School will be giving the PLAN test. The PLAN is a practice test for the ACT. The test is recommended for 10th grade students who plan on attending a four year college after high school; however, 9th and 11th graders are welcome to take it. Students can sign up with the ASB Bookkeeper located inside the library. The cost of the test is $15.00. Last
day to sign up is Friday, December 5th. Tests are limited, so don’t wait.
YEARBOOKS: Have you bought your yearbook yet? If you haven’t, you need to buy it soon! Prices will be going up on November 10th. The current price is $70.00. We are selling out quickly. Don’t be left out, buy it today in the ASB bookkeepers office.
We are strongly enforcing the electronic device rules. If we see or hear them we will take them. Items taken will be returned to a parent between 2:45 and 3:30pm. If parents cannot pick these up we will return them to students on the following Monday. Parent pick up can be done at your child's grade level Assistant Principals office- 12th Graders Ms.Guerrucci -Pierce, 11th Graders Mr. Lopez, 10th Graders Mr. Roth and 9th Graders Mrs. Fant. Student pick up for first time violators is the Monday following the item being taken. Second or more violations must be picked up by a parent and students will receive school consequences. We will only release taken electronic devices to parents and guardians listed on the Emergency list for each student. We cannot release property to anyone else. Also, as a reminder, do not leave backpacks and personal possessions unattended!!
