Dear Student/Athlete,

Thank you for your interest in the Summit High School Athletic program. We will provide a competitive athletic program that will complement the challenging academic program being set into place at Summit High School.

Summit High School has been placed into the Sunkist League and will play Bloomington HS, Jurupa Valley HS, Kaiser HS, Norte Vista HS, and Rubidoux HS. The Sunkist League is richly in tradition and is very competitive. In the last 5 years Sunkist League teams have won 2 of the last four CIFSS Football titles, had a team ranked 1st in the State in football, a State Basketball Championship, and a variety of CIFSS individual champions. This is a tough challenging league.

Although we are currently completing the hiring process for coaches of the prospective sports, that process is not complete. I can say that I am very impressed with the quality of applicants for each and every position and Summit High School will have some of the very best coaches in the Inland Empire. Information will be mailed regarding meetings and important dates as they are finalized. If you are interested in any of the sports below or have any questions regarding the athletic program at Summit High School please feel free to contact me at the number below.

One last thing, before you can get on the field or court you need to take care of business in the classroom. You must attain a GPA of 2.0 to even tryout so take a little extra time and take care of what matters most---your grades.

Sincerely,

Ed Kearby
