Summit High School DAILY BULLETIN ATTENTION STUDENTS: Help the ones in need by donating clothing or canned food during your 2nd period. This drive will be held November 10th through the 18th. The 2nd period class with the highest number of items will receive a doughnut party! Don’t be greedy, give to the needy. PLAN TEST: On December 10th, Summit High School will be giving the PLAN test. The PLAN is a practice test for the ACT. The test is recommended for 10th grade students who plan on attending a four year college after high school; however, 9th and 11th graders are welcome to take it. Students can sign up with the ASB Bookkeeper located inside the library. The cost of the test is $15.00. Last ATTENTION SENIORS! Lanyards are finally in! Come buy them today in the student store. $5 each. HEALTH OFFICE: Teachers, just to let you know the Health Office is closed for lunch 12:30 – 1:15. Please do not send kids to the health office at this time. Thank you! SATURDAY SCHOOL NOVEMBER 15TH: Just a reminder that Saturday School will be held in Ms. Snellings room F-104, this Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for any students that have been assigned. Students that would like extra help are also welcome to attend. SENIORS SENIORS SENIORS! Parking painting is this Saturday at 9:00 a.m. Make sure you buy your parking spot First! in the student store. Don’t forget! Herff Jones will also be there to sell caps and gowns. KNOTT’S BERRY FARM: Reminder that the AVID Knott’s Berry Farm trip is today! Meet at the bus pick up at 4:45 p.m. Bus leaves at 5 p.m. sharp. See Ms. Murray if you have questions.
MARINE ECOLOGY CLUB: Are you interested in conserving the ocean, scuba diving, whale watching, and more? Then come to the Marine Ecology Club meeting both lunches on Wednesday, November 19th. 1st lunch – room D-105, 2nd lunch – room D-201. ATTENTION SENIORS!!! Are you applying to the University of California?? Want an admissions counselor from the University of California to take a look at your personal statements? There will be UC Application workshops, with an admissions counselor from UC Irvine on November 17th in the Computer Lab C-102, during periods 3, 4, & 5. Hurry, sign-up now in the College Career Center, while there are still spaces available. ATTENTION STUDENTS: Soka University will be visiting campus on Tuesday, November 18th, during 5th period. The Navy recruiter will be giving presentations regarding careers in the United States Navy on Tuesday, November 19th and Wednesday, November 20th during periods 1 – 5. ATTENTION BASEBALL PLAYERS: The 2nd baseball tryout will continue on Monday, November 17th thru Thursday, November 20th from 2:45 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the varsity baseball field.
